About the Center of Family Love

Center of Family Love (CFL) in Okarche, OK is a faith-based, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides residential and employment programs for adults with intellectual disabilities by cultivating their interests, skills and independence to live creative, productive and joyous lives. We are located 30 minutes west of north Oklahoma City.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Horticulture Manager, the Job Coach - Horticulture is responsible for training adults with developmental disabilities at their worksites. The Job Coach - Horticulture primarily focuses on the general care of the Garden Center plants and flowers, and handling of retail sales at the gift shop.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients in learning their jobs both in center based and community employment.
• Transporting clients to and from work as specified in a weekly schedule.
• Provide continual support to clients working in center based and community employment.
• Maintain general care of Garden Center plants and flowers
• Assist in handling retail sales of gift shop merchandise.
• Assist and teach clients to advocate for themselves and serve as an advocate when they are unable to advocate for themselves.
• Receive and sign in med boxes - once MAT training is complete, administer medications for individuals and fill out MARS
• Receiving in new inventory and supplies, processing into the computer within 48 hours of receiving, working with individuals to tag new merchandise and prepare to be displayed on floor
• Greeting customers, processing orders, assisting with purchases, working with individuals to assist customers with carrying out purchase. Coach individuals in this interaction as well
• Assisting Manager with seasonal ordering and receiving orders. This includes Valentine’s Day, Easter lilies, Spring Bedding plants, Mums, Poinsettias. Manager will provide all direction of ordering and managing the inventory and all purchasing of orders
• Maintains grids on behalf of residents and ensures she is following the Individual Plan of each resident in Garden Center’s care
• Maintain Garden Center attendance/payroll sheets daily
• Document all deliveries made with individuals
• Protects privacy and confidentiality of information pertaining to the residents, employees, facility information and records
• Coaching individuals on how to watering and the care of plants
• Responsible for working with Manager on setting craft and greenhouse project weekly and ensuring supplies are ordered for needs
• Maintains safe and secure working environment and practices safe working habits.
• Complies with the Center of Family Love attendance policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one years of experience in a related field.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid Oklahoma driver’s license, auto insurance as required by the State of Oklahoma
• Must complete, at the Center of Family Love’s expense, all state mandated training within the timeframes specified, including Medication Administration Training, CPR & 1st Aid, MOPI, and DHS training.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
