The Come and See Foundation is a global media non-profit organization dedicated to making the popular television series "The Chosen" accessible to a global audience. Founded by veterans of Christian publishing, retailing, and Bible translation, the foundation aims to reach one billion people with free versions of the series in hundreds of different languages.
Through its efforts, the Come and See Foundation seeks to introduce people around the world to Jesus and provide them with an authentic and engaging experience of His life and teachings. By making "The Chosen" available in various languages, the foundation hopes to break down language barriers and connect people with the message of the gospel.
About the Vice President of Finance:
Our small but growing organization is seeking a responsible, reliable Vice President of Finance to oversee the planning, development, implementation, reporting, accounting and maintenance of the company’s financial services operations, supporting and promoting profitable goals and objectives. This individual serves as an essential leader to include but not limited to, managing risk and investment strategies, alongside tracking the overall financial health of the organization. The position will play an integral role in the quality and vision of our company standards. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and can work well independently and as a team player. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, a desire to work efficiently, and possess excellent communication skills.
The Vice President of Finance Responsibilities Include:
- In collaboration with other executive staff, and skilled and trusted departmental employees, develops, implements, operates, maintains, and controls the essential operating systems, information, and financial business of the company.
- Define and implement key financial performance indicators and strategic objectives for the organization and facilitate measurement of those objectives, reporting results to the executive team and board.
- Oversee all sides of accounting operations, including payables, receivables, payroll, forecasting and tax preparation.
- Develop appropriate tracking methods for revenues and expenses as well as cash flow.
- Prepare and provide financial reports for executives and the board.
- Oversee development, and outline oversight procedures, process, and management of the organization’s ministry investment plan.
- Audit and analyze company expenditures.
- Gather financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance.
- Manage and oversee budget strategy and investment planning.
- Ensure the organization is in compliance with tax laws and regulations specific to our industry and structure.
- Maintain knowledge of developments and trends in finance and administration, including technological advances.
- Works with an outside audit firm.
- Establishes strong working relationships with outside vendors, partners and production staff.
- Works with the organization’s finance, audit and legal committee.
- Performs other duties as needed and/or as required.
What You Bring:
The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Vice President of Finance:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant status required.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in the financial function of a company or equivalent combination of education and compliance experience, preferred. Non-profit experience preferred.
- An understanding of and experience in accounting and finance in the media space would be preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must display high levels of confidentiality, integrity and dependability.
- Thorough knowledge of financial and legal best practices and requirements with proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.
- Thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodology of finance and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $200,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
