Job Summary
Provide leadership and consultation to manage high-level projects, ongoing operations, process improvement, research, and analytics within the Human Resources Department. Coordinate the creation and implementation of processes and procedures for talent acquisition, training/development, total rewards, and employee relations. Provide oversight for the Human Resources department as needed to support the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Essential Duties
Lead projects as determined by the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Oversee the maintenance, execution, and enhancement of the college's employee compensation program to ensure competitiveness and internally appropriate compensation.
Analyze the effectiveness of existing Total Reward policies and processes across the college.
Provide project management and change management consultation and support to Human Resources stakeholders.
Consult with administrators, committees, or task force chairs to design effective strategies for increasing effectiveness and timely completion of priority projects.
Review Human Resources processes and procedures in academics for efficiency and effectiveness and oversee improvements.
Consistently provide strategic oversight and leadership to ensure HR team recommendations align with project resources and overarching strategic goals.
Oversee the consistent review and update of college policies under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Communications, Human Relations, or a related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
Five years of progressively responsible experience leading cross-functional teams and complex projects or programs.
Five years experience with process improvement and oversight of high-impact program operations in Human Resources or a related field.
Ability to be dynamic and forward thinking.
Collaborative leadership style and a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
Ability to lead teams to goal achievement.
Ability to work outside of normal operating hours and on the weekend as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Communications, Human Relations, or a related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining complex Compensation/Total Rewards/Benefits plans.
Experience in oversight of Talent Acquisition team.
Experience in oversight of Employee Engagement/Complaint Resolution team.
Experience in oversight of Training and Organizational Development team.
Higher education experience.
