The Department of Media Arts at Royal Holloway seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Film and Television Producing, based in the Department of Media Arts at its Egham campus. The department provides a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to a student body that is over 40% Black and Global Majority.
The role holder will have primary responsibility for undergraduate fiction producing modules, particular on our BA Film Television and Digital Production degree, and will also work in partnership with course leads and other colleagues to coordinate a final year collaboration module. There may also be opportunities to teach on our postgraduate courses including MA Producing Film and Television.
We particularly encourage applications from candidates who can evidence their commitment to the development of diverse, inclusive, and ethical approaches to film and television practice, and who can demonstrate how their teaching practice will equip students with the skills required for positive leadership in the creative industries.
We anticipate that the role holder will be appointed on a Professional Practice academic pathway, enabling them to maintain and develop their industry profile, expertise and professional activities.
