Department Description
UCSF HR Shared Services consists of multiple operational and transactional teams assisting staff, academic, and trainee populations across the organization. These teams partner closely with UCSF Campus Departments and the Health System, HR Talent Management and People Wellness, and the Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs (VPAA) to assist and deliver a comprehensive array of HR services designed to attract, develop and retain diverse workforce talent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience (High School diploma or GED and 2-3 years of administrative experience can be considered equivalent)
- Exposure to general Payroll and HR processes, policies, and procedures
- One or more years of data entry experience
- Familiarity with web-based applications /CRM systems, preferable PeopleSoft, Salesforce, TPS, CICS, Weblinks, Microsoft Excel and Word
- Interpersonal skills. Service orientation. Active listening skills. Critical thinking skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize Verbal communication skills. Written communication skills. Organizational, judgment and decision-making skills
- Problem solving, problem identification and reasoning skills
- Intermediate mathematical skills.
- Ability to organize work effectively and set priorities in a fast paced work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to accurately type or word process at a minimum speed of 45 words per minute
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of organizational processes and procedures. Understanding of organizational rules and regulations
- Healthcare or hospital experience and knowledge of collective bargaining systems
