JOB PURPOSE:
The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's human resources functions, ensuring the well-being and professional development of our employees. This role involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR policy implementation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
· Coordinate and manage the recruitment process, from posting job openings to conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.
· Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
2. Employee Relations:
· Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing guidance on HR-related matters.
· Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through effective communication and conflict resolution.
3. Benefits Administration:
· Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
· Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
4. HR Policy Development and Implementation:
· Contribute to the development and updating of HR policies and procedures.
· Implement and communicate HR policies, ensuring compliance and consistency across the organization.
5. Performance Management:
· Support the performance management process, including goal-setting, performance reviews, and professional development plans.
· Provide guidance to managers on performance-related matters.
6. Training and Development:
· Identify training needs within the organization and coordinate relevant training programs.
· Promote a culture of continuous learning and development.
7. Compliance:
· Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations.
· Ensure compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
8. Additional Duties:
· All other duties as required by Chief Executive Officer to meet the needs of agency.
POSITION TYPE | EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK | TRAVEL:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The HR Generalist works a standard work week, but may also work evenings, weekends, and overtime hours as needed. Normally, the HR Generalist works in an office environment, but may spend a limited amount of time in other areas of the facility or offsite. Out-of-town travel and overnight stays may be required.

This job requires physical effort and operates in an environment that will include heat, cold, dust, loud noises, and moving equipment. Job may require you to work under the following conditions:
· Sit for long periods of time.
· Stand for long periods of time.
· Clothing may get dirty and/or torn.
· Possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a non-profit or similar setting.
· Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
· Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,160.00 - $62,400.00 per year
