The HR Director supervises a four person department and and is responsible for ensuring that company goals are met by completing a wide range of tasks related to the Human Resources management function. The HR Director also ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws, company policies and procedures and industry best practices.
The HR Director oversees the many functions of the Human Resource Department including recruiting and on-boarding, maintenance of employee records, benefits administration and training and professional development of employees. This position assists managers with employee relations issues and participates in internal investigations, when necessary.
The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive knowledge and understanding of HR operations and its role in the overall success of the company. Excellent communication skills, experience with HRIS systems (ADP), ability to problem solve, project management skills and knowledge of best practices in HR and California employment law will be paramount to the success of the individual in the HR Director role.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Additionally, a certificate in Human Resource Management is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience working at a senior level in Human Resources for an organization with 300+ employees.
Previous experience working in a non-profit and/or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations.
Salary/Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 and will be impacted by the candidate's experience, education and skills. The total compensation package will include medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, paid vacation and sick leave and a 401k retirement plan with employer match.
