Position Overview
The Department of Performing Arts at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of Dance for the Spring, 2025 beginning January 23, 2025. This position is to teach Dance 210: Rider Dances with emphasis on African Diasporic forms and related contemporary movement practices, resulting in a piece for presentation mid-March.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
BA, BFA, or MFA in Dance or equivalent professional teaching/choreographic experience in the field, with particular emphasis on African Diasporic and related contemporary movement practices.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Past experience teaching at an institution of higher education
Professional choreographic experience with proven track record in choreographing in African Diasporic and related contemporary movement practices.
