Do you enjoy working with children in an engaging and high-energy environment? Nassau Suffolk Services for Autism (NSSA), a private, non-profit agency providing exceptional services to individuals with autism and their families throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties is seeking full time Behavior Consultants (BCBA) to work in School Districts across Long Island. As a BCBA, you will combine your knowledge and experience with our innovative techniques to change our clients' lives. The hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. We offer a competitive salary, full benefits after 90 days, PTO, sick days and paid holidays. This is a 12-month position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop positive behavior support plans (the development of FBA’s and writing BIP’s).
- Train staff on positive behavior support plans and instructional programs .
- Participates in and/or coordinates a variety of meetings (IEP, Department, and School) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Prepares a variety of written materials (e.g. BIPS, FAB’s, Graphs) for the purpose of documenting students’ progress and that goals and objectives are being met.
- Daily data collection and cumulative percentage recordings of each students’ progress.
- Collaborate with instructional staff, other school personnel, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes,
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology or related field.
- Completed requirements for BCBA or currently enrolled in BCBA program.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred.
- New York State Certification in Special Education or Students with Disability preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis principles.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License, acceptable driving history and proof of auto insurance as required.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
