The Alcott Center for Mental Health Services, a nonprofit community mental health agency is seeking an organized, motivated, and professional candidate for a full-time ODR Program Manager. The ODR Program Manager (PM) – Housing for Health Programs will provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team working to house chronically homeless adults and justice-involved adults that are referred through the Office of Diversion & Reentry (ODR). The PM position is responsible for maintaining the highest quality services, the efficiency of operations, coordinating services with partner agencies, and fostering collaboration within the ODR team and other agency programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

  • In collaboration with DHS, supervise staff providing outreach to homeless individuals being diverted from the jail system with the objective of engaging individuals to enter permanent housing.
  • Ensure seamless continuity of care and housing services between Alcott’s resources and partners agencies.
  • Ensure that services to clients are reflective of Alcott’s philosophy, emphasizing customer choice, harm reduction, and psycho-social rehabilitation.
  • Provide clinical guidance to staff as needed, including in emergencies and crisis situations.
  • Be available to respond to emergency calls and situations on a 24-hour basis- participate in an ongoing after-hours crisis support rotation.
  • Assist in the screening, assessment, and enrollment of clients, including orientation to program policies, assignment to case management staff, and determining client interest in using Alcott as their primary mental health provider.
  • Ensure all client paperwork and data collection is complete, timely, accurate, and current in agency records and electronic databases through on-going audits of electronic data bases and chart reviews.
  • Ensure housing performance standards of partners and funders are achieved, including a minimum of 90% housing retention rate.
  • Provide individual and team supervision, support, and performance evaluations for assigned staff.
  • Ensure that direct reports provide an ongoing schedule of groups, activities, and outings designed to stabilize and improve the quality of life for clients.
  • In coordination with the Director, provide budgetary oversight of program administration and ensure program revenue and expenses are within the opted annual budget.
  • Ensure adherence to funding source contracts and performance standards; prepare written reports on program activities as assigned and as required by funding sources.
  • Ensure staff follows all Policies and Procedures as outlined in the ODR Manual.
  • Provide input, evaluation, and updates regarding programs as requested.
  • Review discharge summaries for recently hospitalized clients to ensure appropriate medical follow-up and coordination of medical care.
  • As needed, assist in involving clients in daily activities, budgeting, facilitating socialization, health maintenance, sense of community, and progress in recovery.
  • As needed, assist in the screening assessment and enrollment of clients, including orientation to program policies resources, and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least two years of experience working with homeless individuals
  • Master's in Social Work, Psychology, or other Human Services field
  • Experience working with clients with mental illness, chronic health issues, and substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge and expertise in the following areas: chronic homelessness, outreach and engagement strategies, intensive case management services, best practice models, mental health and substance use disorder services, crisis intervention, suicide assessment and prevention, affordable housing and public benefits applications, housing and landlord/tenant rights, eviction prevention.
  • Able to perform basic computer skills required for an electronic health record.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster required.
  • Proof of valid California Driver’s License and Live Scan is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • Bilingual Spanish

Masks at all Alcott Center facilities are recommended, but not required.

Schedule:

  • This is a Full-Time position with a 40-hour work week; the agency is currently open for services M-F, 8:30 am-5 pm.
  • Must be available to respond to emergency calls and situations on a 24-hour basis, as well as participate in an after-hours crisis line rotation.

  • Culver City, CA 90232: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Diriver's License (Required)

Pay: $68,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
