Leidos Maritime System Solutions (MSS) is seeking an Engineering Coordinator as part of a development team in a fast-paced, research, development, testing and evaluation environment at the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) located in San Diego, CA. This position will require the candidate to obtain and hold a Secret Clearance at a minimum.
As the Engineering Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in planning and organizing technical and engineering resources and materiel procurements to ensure the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. You will be involved in the day-to-day operations and planning of multiple subprojects and serve as a liaison among the project contributors, Program Managers, and the government customers to organize and communicate details related to specific tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and perform documentation and system configuration/data management plans. Adapt Leidos and government tools.
- Manage Project inventory of materiel and documentation:
- Coordinate materiel procurements:
- Interface with engineers and material planners to receive, review, process, and monitor incoming requisitions and takes appropriate action to ensure completion.
- Research vendors and products with project engineers and complete purchase requisitions.
- Facilitate and track requisitions through the Leidos procurement process.
- As-needed, coordinate with material suppliers
- Manage disposition of received materiel
- Assist Project Managers (PMs) & Project Engineers to develop weekly status reports and document accomplishments.
- Communicate with colleagues across project functional areas to ensure project planning products are progressing and posted to MS SharePoint or MS Teams
- Organize logistics for major customer meetings, including but not limited to preparing agendas, reserving conference rooms, and assembling and distributing welcome packages.
- Take and distribute meeting minutes for customer calls and weekly team meetings, ensuring all key point and action items are documented.
- Monitor and follow up on action items from meeting ensuring timely completions and communications of progress.
- Microsoft Teams Administration
- Develop automated process in Power Automate.
- Build Reports with Power Bi.
- Manage SharePoint file organization.
- Build processes into Teams environment using lists and/or power aps.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working with and leading small technical teams
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring independent decision-making to balance priorities and project deadlines.
- Work effectively as part of a team and manage complex relationships with all stakeholders (both internal and external).
- Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Secret Security Clearance at a minimum, required, or ability to obtain if hired.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with research and development teams
- Experience in maritime or Navy projects or operations
Experience with standard office and team tools, e.g. SQL databases, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Pay Range:Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
