The Assistant Director will oversee the operation (scheduling, budgeting, repair and
maintenance, access control, housekeeping, event coordination, facility updates, etc.) for select Sports facilities. This position will also assist the Director of Operations, Facilities and Event Management and the Associate Director of Olympic Sports Facilities by monitoring activities which take place inside of assigned facilities as use dictates.

The Assistant Director will oversee the operation (scheduling, budgeting, repair and
maintenance, access control, housekeeping, event coordination, facility updates, etc.) for select Sports facilities. This position will also assist the Director of Operations, Facilities and Event Management and the Associate Director of Olympic Sports Facilities by monitoring activities which take place inside of assigned facilities as use dictates.
Specific responsibilities Include:
- Responding to maintenance issues, helping maintain facility schedules/calendars, and responding to various facility requests and needs of coaches, students, and other users of the facilities.
- Managing access to the stadium lighting systems and assisting with the planning of preventative maintenance schedules, various task lists, building lock schedules, conducting routine facility inspections, and properly filing such results.
- Work with Landscape Services to assure that artificial turf and natural grass surfaces are properly maintained and ready for play.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, entering electronic work orders, and working closely with game management and other groups involved with game day activities.
- Will serve as a space steward in EMS for any university events requested in the selected Sports facilities. EMS secondary administrator assisting with managing the overall athletics facilities scheduling process.
- Conduct visual inspections of assigned Sports facilities and safety inspections on a bi-weekly basis, documenting results, and sharing with Risk Management & Safety.
- Respond to Risk Management & Safety requests and maintenance items as they arise.
- Responsible for oversight and implementation of North tunnel area for home football games, including but not limited to set up and break down, safety and security of fencing system, monitoring area with security, controlling flow in and out of area and coordinating with stadium operations staff.
- Assist with minor projects and renewals as assigned and needed.
- Assist with development of the annual budget for assigned sports facilities.
- Assist with coordination of Shamrock Series games.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and preference towards having the ability to drive forklifts.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Business Administration and /or sports Management degree
- 3 to 4 years experience in athletics setting within facilities operations, maintenance, or related area
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR, First Aid and AED
- Game management preferred
