Summary of Position

As a Data and Business Analyst on the Endpoint Engineering Team, your key responsibilities include developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Business Intelligence tools like Microsoft Power BI. You will collect, clean, and process data from various sources to ensure data quality and integrity, and analyze multiple datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that influence IT strategies and processes. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translating them into business and technical requirements is essential. You will work with cross-functional teams to provide analytical support and develop comprehensive project documentation, including business cases, requirement specifications, and reports. Additionally, you will assist in the design and testing of new IT systems and enhancements to existing systems, prioritize IT projects based on business impact and resource availability, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Your role also involves utilizing Intune and JAMF for device management and compliance reporting, implementing and managing endpoint security solutions using CrowdStrike and Tenable, and integrating AI technologies to optimize endpoint management and security processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and process data from various sources to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Analyze multiple datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can influence IT strategies and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including business cases, requirement specifications, and reports.
  • Assist in the design and testing of new IT systems and enhancements to existing IT systems.
  • Work with the team to prioritize IT projects based on business impact and resource availability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within ET&S.
  • Utilize Intune and JAMF for device management and compliance reporting
  • Implement and manage endpoint security solutions using CrowdStrike and Tenable
  • Integrate AI technologies to optimize endpoint management and security processes.

Other minimum qualifications

  • Associate’s degree and four years of experience, Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience, or combination of education and/or experience equal to six years.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in requirements gathering through document and data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and effective group facilitation.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed documentation in various formats; text, diagrams, process maps, requirements registries utilizing software such as Microsoft Viso, Excel & Word.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for cyber and endpoint security, evaluating potential threats and vulnerabilities to inform budget-based decision-making and ensure optimal resource allocation
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Preference for working in a dynamic environment with diverse team members and stakeholders. (Add travel may be required, statewide.)
  • Customer centric attitude with attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in higher education.
  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Extract: Gather data from various sources. Transform: Cleanse, format, and convert data into a suitable format for analysis. Load: Import transformed data into target systems.
  • Broad-based Information Technology experience.
  • Training and/or certification in process analysis and improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with Intune, JAMF, CrowdStrike, and Tenable.
  • Development and use of AI technologies within an IT environment.
