CLASSIFICATION: SUPPORT EXEMPT

JOB TITLE: SENIOR BUDGET COORDINATOR

SALARY RANGE: SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL SALARY SCHEDULE

REPORTS TO: ADMINISTRATOR

 

 

Job Goal

To provide financial data and verification of account balances; to gather information regarding budget allocations and requests for state and federal grants.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Accounting or Business degree preferred or CPA certification
  • Minimum two years grants management experience
  • Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications (Word, Excel, Google Suite, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, iVisions, ADE Grants Management and EMAC systems)
  • Experience working in an educational setting preferred
  • Accounting and/or Federal Grants experience; balancing and reconciling fiscal data
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, requirements, and regulations

 

 

Core Job Functions

  • Compile budget data to build the district ESEA Consolidated grant and other state and federal grants; input appropriation balances into the grants management system to provide accurate budget allocations and narratives.
  • Respond to various inquiries from district personnel to assist and instruct them regarding site funding, purchase orders, budget history, convey information and ensure adherence to proper budget and grant procedures.
  • Monitor account balances and codes to ensure adequate fund balances, the appropriate use of funds, and provide financial information for administrative decision making.
  • Attend conferences and trainings to remain current in EDGAR, USFR codes and Uniform Guidance.
  • Create reports to monitor various costs and cost components related to grant expenditures such as employee costs, benefits, travel, consultants, and preschool.
  • Monitor account codes on requisitions and ePARS
  • Provide support for Equitable Services provided to Private Schools
  • Perform other duties relating to general job function as assigned by supervisor
