Sr. Research Program Coordinator II

Job Description

We are seeking a Sr. Research Program Coordinator II to provide support and administrative leadership on a new, 4-year project. This work, funded via the National Institutes of Health Tobacco Regulatory Science Program (an interagency partnership between FDA and NIH to foster tobacco regulatory research) seeks to understand the impact of messaging about the tobacco product continuum of harm.


The Sr. Research Program Coordinator II will work with Dr. Meghan Moran and a team at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and the University of Pennsylvania to develop and implement the administrative and research activities for this project. Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with PI on project administration and management.
  • Develop processes and implement tools to facilitate project organization and communication.
  • Manage and coordinate project activities and timelines to ensure deliverables are met on time.
  • Communicate and coordinate with study team members to facilitate completion of research activities.
  • Organize and lead team meetings.
  • Draft and oversee submission and maintenance of IRB protocols.
  • Oversee study purchasing, payment, and reimbursement processes.
  • With PI, coordinate with financial analyst on project budgeting.
  • With PI, supervise study research assistants including approval of timesheets.
  • With PI, coordinate and prepare study reporting (e.g., mid-year and annual reports, inclusion enrollment reporting, continuing reviews, etc.).
  • Coordinate research implementation (e.g., contracting recruitment firms).
  • Communicate with study partners regarding project updates and needs.
  • Support data collection processes.
  • Support other study activities, including study protocol and instrument development, and dissemination of findings, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. Related Master's preferred.
  • Five years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Health communication research experience.
  • Familiarity with JHU administrative systems (e.g., Concur, Phirst, TimesheetX, etc.)
  • Experience preparing IRB submissions, budget preparation, and federal reporting.
  • Experience working in an academic setting.

 


 

Classified Title: Sr. Research Program Coordinator II

Starting Salary Range: $48,000 - $84,100 Annaully (Commensurate with experience) 
Employee group: Full Time 
Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9 am – 5 pm 
Exempt Status: Exempt
