Under general supervision, this position will support the Specialty Pharmacy by supporting the on-boarding and ongoing patient management of specialty/chronic care patients. The job duties include dispensing and clinical oversight that meet URAC and Joint Commission Accreditation Standards to provide safe and appropriate patient care. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for provision and documentation of medications and medication-related services to patients according to standards established by the Department of Pharmacy. The pharmacist will serve as preceptor to pharmacy residents and students as assigned and will participate in Medical Center and Departmental committees and promote institution-wide medication use policy.
Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the Stf Pharm1 or Stf Pharm2. Less than four (4) years experience qualifies as Stf Pharm1; Four (4) + years of experience qualifies as Stf Pharm2.
Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or equivalent clinical experience.
Registered Pharmacist - issued by the state of California (RPH)
Pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical experience.
- Three (3+) or more years retail pharmacy experience.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $198,297 - $198,297 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $94.97 - $94.97
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
