Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually

City Experiences is seeking an Associate Director of F&B for our operation in San Diego.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The position of Associate Director of F&B is to manage the daily planning and execution of events for City Cruises in San Diego. The responsibilities are to maintain labor and beverage costs to the budget while maintaining guest satisfaction. Develop/mentor current team while recruiting talent in all F&B position. Provide an outgoing and supportive personality to meet with clients when required by the SD Sales department. To manage your own time and to be available for participation in meetings and/or daily planning to support needs of the company brand.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Schedule all FOH staff on a weekly basis with focus on reducing overtime.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and counseling of all FOH staff.
  • Input accurate payroll information daily to ensure proper bi-weekly close.
  • Attend weekly catering meetings to ensure accuracy of event specifics.
  • Develop and maintain beverage program within budget.
  • Ensure all beverage production is completed according to recipe guidelines.
  • Train and certify staff on proper handling of alcohol per TIPS guidelines.
  • Supervise monthly beverage inventory and Quarterly Supplies inventory.
  • Meet with local vendors and purchase according to budgeted fiscal plan.
  • Assist in setup and maintaining of Audio/Visual equipment, per client needs.
  • Oversee on board equipment upgrades and maintenance.
  • Develop strong supportive partnerships with all Department Leadership.
  • Communicate between departments to ensure a cooperative effort and accurate information sharing.
  • Adhere to safe and sanitary handling of all food & beverage products.
  • Address any guest service issues pertaining to guest's response on surveys, emails, or phone contact.
  • Provide support to the BOH staff and management on all related vessel functions.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu design and food quality.
  • Correct any employee behaviors that are not supportive to the City Cruise brand.
  • Document all staff meetings and provide counseling, when necessary, with HR guidance.
  • Maintain and reinforce consistent RESPECT Values
  • Advise Supervisor or Human Resources any changes of name, address, or work status as it affects your compensation, benefits or employment.
  • Accurately complete all documentation including payroll, time sheets, revenue reports, paperwork, and invoices on a timely basis.
  • Know and understand internal policies and external regulatory requirements that relate to your position and department.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • College courses in Hospitality/Business preferred
  • CPR Certification
  • Certification for Food Handler's and Responsible Beverage Service
  • Food Handler's Card w/ Local Health Department
  • TWIC Card
  • Merchant Marine Certification (MMC)
