- Base salary range: Level B, $113,934 – $134,824 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
The Department of Environmental Science is responsible for the delivery of undergraduate majors in Environmental Science including teaching responsibilities in associated areas such as Ecology, Geography and Environmental Management. In addition, the Department also leads the Master of Environmental Science and Master of Biotechnology postgraduate programs.
Currently the department leads multiple large research projects funded by ARC, GRDC, the NESP Resilient Landscapes Hub, state and federal government, multiple industry partners and NGOs.
About the opportunity
- Take an active role and work collaboratively to develop, coordinate and deliver world-class innovative teaching in environmental science
- Create and help lead collaborative research initiatives in local and national arenas.
- Representing the University through involvement in professional associations, conferences, non-academic (e.g., government, not-for-profit, industry) partnerships, and other external activities.
About you
- PhD in Environmental Science, Geology/Earth Science, Physical Geography, Restoration Ecology, or related fields
- Capacity to deliver high quality teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate courses,
- Strong networks with relevant industries, government and non-government land managers, and relevant associations in Australia
