Job Summary
The Open-Source Leg project is a publicly available end-to-end platform developed to address a critical challenge in prosthetics research: the control of these advanced technologies has been the main barrier to their widespread clinical success. Traditionally, prosthetic research has been fragmented, with each researcher developing their robotic leg system for testing control strategies or biomechanical hypothesis. While this approach has led to individual successes, it has also prevented broader collaboration and long-term impact, especially for individuals with disabilities.
Without a standardized platform, comparing results across research groups is difficult, and the continual redevelopment of robotics legs is both time-consuming and costly. The Open-Source Leg project bridges this gap by providing a unified, open-access platform that fosters collaboration and innovation. This shared framework allows researchers to test and evaluate control strategies in a way that accelerates progress and amplifies the collective impact of the field.
We are seeking a motivated and detailed oriented Community and Marketing Coordinator to support the growth and development of the Open-source Leg project. This entry-level position is ideal for someone passionate about technology and operations, with a focus on e-commerce, community engagement, and fostering community growth.
