The type of opportunity available:
SYSTEM WIDE SEASONAL TEAM - Full Time, Benefitted, Limited tenure Scripps employee who supports assignments of 13 - 26 weeks. This is varied Shift and must be willing to work Night Shift and float to any of our 5 hospitals located in San Diego.
Completion bonus available at the end of the initial 13 week assignment = $6K . Potentially more if contract is extended. Pay rate is the seasonal flat rate of $44.36

Our Scripps System-wide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system. As a member of the Seasonal team, you can fill vital roles on a contract basis (13 or 26 weeks) to provide critical coverage for peak seasonal demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments.
Join our Scripps SSRS team as a Respiratory Therapist where you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. This includes the following:
- In collaboration with other caregivers, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates action for respiratory care.
- Performs all technical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care.
- Performs other core responsibilities to maintain the flow of patient care.
- May provide additional patient care within their scope of practice as permitted by licensure, certificate or training.
- Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties.
- Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Participates in quality control, preventative maintenance and performance improvement activities.
Required Qualifications:
- One (1) or more years RCP acute care hospital experience.
- Technically competent in the department skills inventory.
- Computer literate.
- California RCP License
- Current California RCP license required
- Current American Heart Association BLS
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Enjoys working with the public.
- Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care.
- NRP Certification
- NICU Experience
Travel Requirements:
- Work between the five (5) Scripps Health hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, San Diego, and Chula Vista.
