KPMG is currently seeking a Manager, SAP ABAP Technical Architect to join our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice.
- Design and develop solutions using various ABAP programming techniques, such as Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Security, BTP, and FIORI app customization and development; architect and design holistic and scalable technical solutions, considering system performance, integration points, and adherence to SAP guidelines and standards
- Lead the technical aspects of SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, ensuring the quality and consistency of the ABAP code, managing the technical transport process, enforcing the coding standards, performing code reviews and testing, and providing guidance and mentoring to junior developers
- Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during the project and ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions
- Lead large pools of SAP ABAP development teams, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and enforcing best practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Prepare clear and concise technical documentation, including technical designs, specifications, development guidelines, and test plans
- Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
- Minimum five years of recent experience as Lead SAP S/4HANA ABAP Technical Developer or Architect on SAP S/4HANA projects
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field from an accredited college/university is a plus
- Licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list; PMP, Certified BA, and/ or Scrum Master a plus
- Experience in ABAP programming for Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Security, (WRICEFS) with an understanding of the SAP S/4HANA data dictionary, ABAP syntax, debugging tools, and performance optimization techniques, BTP, FIORI app customization and development, SQL, using and extending CDS Views, user-exits, LTMC, and LTMOM
- "Hands-on" ABAP experience is a required; must have deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA data structures with hands-on expertise with HANA/CDS views/ Complex SQLs; experience in development of interfaces or integration of SAP GTS and Tax Engines (like Vertex) with SAP S/4HANA
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, data model, and business processes, with the ability to map business requirements / functional specification to detailed technical specifications with a demonstrated capability to use the latest SAP technologies and tools to create innovative and user-friendly solutions; person should be willing to work independently to build technical solutions / capabilities based on Tax/business requirements with minimum technical supervision or support
