Job Description
OverviewThis position serves as the primary relationship manager and primary point of contact for institutional accounts in the Wealth Management department. Leads client servicing, satisfaction, and retention efforts for the work group. Provides expert advice on client asset management, financial needs, and personalized strategies. Facilitates the acquisition and development of new business by participating in community activities, building a network of contacts, non-bank client identification and calling and attending marketing / entertainment events. May provide oversight to less experienced associates in the work group and assist management with special projects.
Responsibilities
- Relationship Management - Responsible for the satisfaction and retention of assigned institutional accounts. Serves as the primary point of contact and service provider. Assists larger department efforts to build, develop, and maintain client relationships. Develop and maintain proficiency in the Investment markets.
- Account Administration & Monitoring - Provides timely responses to client information requests, same day unless otherwise communicated to client. Acts independently, and with exceptional judgement to address client needs and concerns, while keeping wealth team members informed of client activity. Serves as first line of defense while servicing client needs to ensure mitigation of financial risk to the Bank. Monitors all activities of assigned accounts; ensures all accounts are in compliance. Processes transactions and ensures accuracy of all required account documentation. Including but not limited to trading, cash movement, client communication, and compliance requirements.
- Client Acquisition - Promotes Institutional Trust products and other demonstrates external calling efforts to attract new clients to the Bank's wealth offerings. Builds an internal and external contact network to leverage acquisition of new opportunities.
- Community Outreach - Represents the Bank and the Institutional Trust Services division in the community through involvement in civic and professional organizations. Utilizes industry connections to promote services, create awareness, and cultivate referral opportunities. Communicates new developments, products, or services within the industry to other wealth associates and banking partners
- Investment Proficiency - Maintains knowledge of offered institutional products and services, as well as clients' conditions and overall relationship with the Bank, in order to provide appropriate financial advice
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Trust, Financial Services, Financial Operations, or First Citizens Bank Trust OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Trust, Financial Services, Financial Operations, or First Citizens Bank Trust
License or Certification Type: Possess valid Series 6, 63, 65, or 66, and state-specific life and health insurance licenses RequiredSkill(s): Ability to read, interpret, and communicate complex legal documents, Understanding of the investment markets and economics in general, Understanding of Qualified Retirement Plan Market, Understanding of Philanthropic & Charitable Market
The base pay for this position is generally between $187,000 and $216,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
