Position Summary: Lead Facilitators lead High and Low Course programs that help participants to obtain goals (problem-solving, leadership, communication, teamwork, etc.) through experiential learning.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Attend all mandatory training sessions.
- Understand and enforce all Team Building and Challenge Course Policies and Procedures.
- Communicate with the group contact before the program to make sure they have all the information they need.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing group needs and resolving any issues that arise.
- Design programs, develop and modify activities to meet the needs of groups
- Perform daily course opening inspections, post program reports, incident reports, and other routine documentation.
- Lead group initiatives, activities, and low-rope elements to a variety of groups.
- Facilitate high ropes course elements and zipline.
- Adapt and modify activities to meet the needs of the group.
- Ensure the safety of participants and the program by recognizing risks, managing safety procedures, and responding to emergencies.
- Understand the goals, instructions, and safety concerns for each challenge course element.
- Facilitate and debrief activities for groups and with program staff.
- Assist in the training/development of Team Building Apprentices and Facilitators.
- Assist as needed in all required departmental functions.

- Comfortable working at heights of up to 40 feet.
- Ability to interact with patrons, participants, professional staff, and co-workers professionally.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- Possess a desire to continuously develop their facilitation skills and knowledge.
- ACCT Level 1 or ACCT Level 2 Certification
- Previous challenge course facilitation experience
Required License or Certification
License Required: American Red Cross First Aid and Adult CPR/AED certifications or is able to obtain within 30 days of hire..
Valid NC Driver's License required?
