Senior VP of Clinical Operations (Full-time, Salaried)
Program: Central Office (Central SD)

Hours: This is a full-time, exempt position.

Salary: $155,000 to $165,000 per year

Education: Master’s or doctoral degree in a mental health related field, such as Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Psychology.

Licensure: Current and active unrestricted license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or Board of Psychology required.

Position Summary

The Sr. Vice President of Clinical Operations provides supervision and oversight of CRF Clinical Services, Service Line Vice Presidents & Program Operations as assigned. Serves as a member of the Executive Team and provides leadership, integration and standardization across programs and the agency. Represents CRF in the community, develops new business opportunities and establishes and maintains linkages with other organizations.

Typical Duties of the Sr. VP of Clinical Operations

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates the organization’s clinical services and performance for assigned programs.
  • Develops and/or enhances program design, development and implementation across the organization.
  • Oversees contract and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitors programs for cost containment.
  • Supervises Service Line Vice Presidents as assigned.
  • Confers with Executive team to plan business objectives, organizational policies, and to coordinate functions and operations between programs, divisions, and departments.
  • Assists CRF Officers in monitoring fiscal matters including provisions accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for all programs.
  • Seeks and develops business opportunities for the organization.
  • Serves as a core member of proposal writing team.
  • Monitors programs and staff for adherence to CRF standards and policies.
  • Assists with problem-solving and performance plans for programs/items that require attention across the organization.
  • Provides 24-hour on-call availability for urgent/emergent program consultation on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of senior management or leadership experience including oversight of service line or regional clinical operations in a behavioral health setting with demonstrated track record of success.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience directly managing behavioral health program(s).
  • Experience managing or operating behavioral health programs in a fee-for-service payment modality strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams while successfully balancing agency initiatives and service delivery.
  • Strong clinical skills and an ability to handle high stress and fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office. Intermediate level use of MS Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
  • A valid California driver’s license in good standing, proof of insurance and personal vehicle.
  • Ability to pass criminal/background clearance.
