If so, we're looking for someone like you to join the Air Combat and Strike Mission Analysis Group and help lead a talented team of scientists, engineers, analysts and software developers!
As an analytical software developer, you will collaborate with analysts to build and use a wide-range of analytical software to deliver key insights to government decision makers, ultimately steering the acquisition, maintenance, and assessment of various defense programs. You'll be joining our hardworking team and have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of interesting projects in a collaborative environment that fosters inclusion and diversity of thought.
We are a large team of 40+ engineers, physicists, mathematicians, and computer scientists who perform mission-level analysis to drive acquisition decisions on important precision strike technologies. As an Analytic Software Developer, you will...
- Design and develop software, support internal code reviews, and be responsible for pushing quality throughout the software development process
- Apply and support industry-standard development operations (DevOps), such as; continuous integration, testing, and deployment
- Use analytical tools to answer sponsor questions and produce briefings that document the results
- Integrate a variety of modeling and simulation software related to the analysis of sensing, tracking, counter-measures, and weapon systems
- Research, investigate, and experiment with new programming technologies and look for creative new uses of software technologies in non-traditional ways.
Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math field.
- Have software engineering expertise with C++ and Python
- Can communicate effectively with end-users about technical issues and new software capabilities.
- Are willing, able and passionate about learning new concepts and growing your personal abilities.
- Able to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance and are able to ultimately obtain a Top Secret clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S citizenship.
You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if...
- You possess a MS or PhD in a related technical field.
- Are familiar with Git, CMake, Bash, and Conan
- Have experience with one or more of: pandas, SQLite, regression analysis, uncertainty quantification, high-performance computing
- Have experience with unit and regression testing code
- Have experience with DevOps and CI, especially using GitLab or Docker
- Have experience with simulation frameworks such as AFSIM
- You have previously worked in the Tracking, RF, or Electronic Warfare domains.
