Salary Range: $4,098/mo
Contract Term Length: 12 Months
Standard Hours: 37.5 hours

Job Summary
Responsible for the management of library and information services.
Provides leadership to the campus and community and promotes an environment for academic achievement.
Job Duties:
• Responsible for the management of library and information services.
• Provides leadership to the campus and community and promotes an environment for academic achievement.
• Provides leadership in concert with college library directors to enhance library services systemwide.
• Guides the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of library and information services, while keeping abreast of current trends for library and information services.
• Oversees the daily operation of the library.
• Supervises library personnel and oversees department budget.
• Oversees the collaboration of the teaching faculty to develop library and information services to meet curriculum needs.
• Participates in the college’s strategic planning efforts.
• Participates in professional organizations and professional development opportunities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree (Library Science or equivalent from American Library Association-approved program) and five years’ experience in an academic library or closely related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality instruction, student learning, and instructional and institutional effectiveness.
• Demonstrated effective technology skills, communication skills (written and verbal), and organizational and human relations skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to the comprehensive community college concept and team management.
• Demonstrated commitment to the Hopkinsville Community College Institutional Values.
