Donation Attendant
Job Description
DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift
- Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy
- Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt
- Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor
- Separate and sort all donated material into the proper s, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor
- Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary
- Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.)
- Must secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift
- Must be have flexible availability for scheduling purposes
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors
- Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects up to 75lbs. with or without assistance
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
