We are a charitable foundation dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in need. With a focus on providing essential resources, supporting education, and fostering strong communities, the foundation operates with a grassroots approach, ensuring that 100% of funds are directed towards helping those in need.
 

Position Overview: 
We are seeking a highly motivated and visionary Executive Director to lead our foundation. This role is crucial in driving the foundation’s mission forward by developing and implementing strategic initiatives, ensuring governance and compliance, and enhancing employee engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in non-profit management, particularly in children's organizations, with proven experience in fundraising and team leadership. This position reports directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and has three direct reports including the Sr. Director of Operations & Programs, Strategic Director of Planning, and an Admin.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Fundraising Framework: Develop and implement a structured framework for sustainable revenue generation, leveraging employees, vendors, and community interests. Establish multiple revenue streams, including program sponsorships.
  • Fundraising Experience: Lead fundraising efforts across all organizational levels, from frontline employees to executives. Secure consistent donors, building a reliable funding base for the foundation's initiatives.
  • Employee Engagement and Management: Enhance employee engagement through innovative programs. Assess and advance the responsibilities of direct reports, incorporating technology to increase team efficiency.
  • Governance & Compliance: Oversee governance and compliance, particularly in filing Form 990 tax returns for non-profits. Ensure all legal and regulatory obligations are met, with a focus on fundraising events.
  • Non-Profit Experience: Leverage experience in managing a true non-profit organization, with a focus on children's initiatives. Ensure that all foundation activities align with the mission of giving back to children in need.
 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in non-profit leadership, with a focus on fundraising, governance, and employee engagement.
  • Proven track record in securing major gifts and building long-term donor relationships.
  • Experience in managing a grassroots non-profit foundation, with a strong focus on children's organizations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team towards achieving the foundation’s mission.
  • In-depth knowledge of governance and compliance requirements for non-profit organizations, including experience with Form 990 tax returns.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, capable of providing vision and strategy without needing constant supervision.
 

Compensation:
  • Salary: $185,000 - $195,000
  • Annual Bonus: 15-22.5%

Pay: $185,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
