Prof. Yang Yang’s group (http://www.yangyanglab.com/) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking applicants for Postdoctoral Research Associates to carry out research in Li/Na ions batteries, acidic/alkaline membrane electrolyzers, and fuel cells. Research efforts in the Yang lab are directed toward studying the surface and interface engineering of functional materials at the nano/atomic scale for clean energy and environmental sustainability. Research opportunities include battery chemistry and materials studies, electrocatalyst design and synthesis, ion exchange membranes, catalyst layer architectures, operation and test of electrolyzers/fuel cells.

Strong background and interest in advanced materials and renewable energy. Doctoral degree in material chemistry, applied chemistry, physical chemistry, and electrochemistry are encouraged.
