Job Description
Boston University's Office of Technology Development (OTD) seeks a Director, Faculty Entrepreneurship to facilitate and support the creation of investigator-led entrepreneurial enterprises deriving from research ventures and discoveries. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director, Faculty Entrepreneurship is responsible for managing the programs, processes, and resources that support researcher-driven creation of entrepreneurial enterprises. Responsibilities include developing and delivering educational programs that support technology commercialization in collaboration with Innovate@BU; management of the Ignition Award gap-funding program; managing occupancy of the Business Innovation Center in collaboration with the Photonics Center; and directing two full time employees and paid consultants that run, administer, and measure programs/events that connect our researchers with the talent, resources and funds necessary to advance their ventures.
Required Skills

Master's degree with 8+ years of experience required; preferably with direct experience as a founder, investor or early employee of a new company.
