Visiting Assistant Professor of Business (Finance)
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Teach entry-level, upper-level finance courses,
as well as other courses as determined by department chair
2. Fulfill service responsibilities including department and university
service and student advising
3. Collaborate with related academic programs
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Master, all-but-dissertation (ABD) in a doctorate program or Doctorate in
finance or a closely related field.
2. Evidence of excellence in teaching or equivalent experience.
3. Demonstrated potential for success in scholarly professional
achievement and department/university service
4. Ability to work effectively with colleagues and students in a
college or university setting
5. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Undergraduate teaching experience in entry-level and upper-level
finance courses (desirable)
2. Experience mentoring undergraduate students including first-
generation students (desirable)
3. Evidence of relevant experience in finance (desirable).
4. Experience in the field of financial investments and/or financial
institutions or relevant experience (highly desirable)
