POSITION TITLE: Intern-Research
POSITION SUMMARY:
Scripps Research is seeking an Intern Research to support research in the Molecular and Cellular Biology Department focused on the molecular basis of metabolic disorders. Interns receive occupational experience, closely supervised training and are able to develop their professional skills. Duties include basic laboratory maintenance such as glassware washing, autoclaving, media, solution, and buffer prep. Intern will work closely with laboratory staff following experimental procedures to advance research projects.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Part-time: Up to 19 hours per week.
- This position is not eligible for benefits.
- This is a year-round position, not a summer intern or other short-term internship.

COMPENSATION:
- The expected hiring range for this position is $16.85 - $19.85 per hour.
REQUIREMENTS:
- This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.
- Requires current enrollment in either a high school or college/university educational program. Undergraduate enrolled in a relevant scientific program, e.g., biological or life science, strongly preferred. Must be willing to handle animals
