Continuing EducationGeneral Summary
This position will serve as a part time instructor in the Continuing Education department at Odessa College. The Technical Writing instructor will reach students how to effectively communicate technical information through writing. This may include topics such as audience analysis, document design, and editing for clarity and conciseness. Technical writing instructors will be responsible for developing course materials, assessing student work, and providing feedback to help students improve their writing skills.
Successful completion will result in a certification for the student.
Specific Position Duties
- Conduct in person Technical Writing training sessions, as needed to meet demands, at Gregory D Williams Hall location.
- Flexible schedule and hours.
- Sessions will be 2- or 4-hour sessions until syllabus is completed.
- Instruct and assist students in understanding Technical Writing software where applicable.
- Provide support and guidance to students as they progress in their Technical Writing knowledge.

Work Hours
This position is part-time with max of 19 hours per week. Classes/sessions are contingent on the minimum number of students enrolled. If minimum is not met, the class is subject to cancelation.Posting Number
