Responsibilities
    Contribute to a team of highly skilled and innovative engineers to solve problems, analyze data, and evaluate projects throughout their lifecycle, from planning to construction.
  • Prepare Preliminary Engineering Reports, Plans, Specifications and Estimates for challenging drinking water, wastewater, and recycled water infrastructure, including for:
    • Drinking water infrastructure: wells, storage tanks, pipelines, pump stations, pressure reducing stations, and water treatment facilities.
    • Wastewater infrastructure: wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and pipelines.
    • Recycled water infrastructure: storage tanks, pipelines, pump stations, and pressure reducing stations.
  • Prepare comprehensive master planning reports and develop accurate hydraulic models to support infrastructure projects.
  • Participate actively in local professional organizations to build industry connections and stay current on industry trends.
  • Assist in identifying, pursuing, and securing business opportunities with key clients. Develop compelling responses to RFPs/RFQs.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and exceeding expectations.
  • Guide clients through the permitting process and assist with infrastructure financing applications.
  • Share expertise and provide valuable feedback to junior and assistant engineers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Deliver clear and concise presentations to governing boards and city councils to advocate for project approvals and funding.
  • Collaborate with local and state regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance with all relevant regulations and secure necessary permits.
  • Collaborate effectively with other disciplines, including geotechnical engineers, land surveyors, electrical engineers, and structural engineers, to ensure seamless project development.
  • Travel to project sites and client meetings as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and/or Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a concentration in water/wastewater.
  • 3-8 years of progressive experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Innovyze InfoSewer/InfoWater, and ArcGIS.
  • Solid understanding of hydraulics and pipe networks.
  • Active participation in professional societies, such as the American Society of Civil Engineers, Water for People, Engineers Without Borders, American Public Works Association, etc.

Certifications/Licenses:

    • Professional Engineer license required, California PE preferred, or the ability to obtain a California PE license within a year if licensed in another state.
    • Local municipality and water district experience within CA strongly preferred. Experience working with other municipalities and public agencies in Southern California is a plus.

The pay range for this California position is $80,000.00- $110,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
