Summary of Position
The University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics invites applications for a full-time Lecturer of Business Administration position to begin in fall 2024. The primary teaching responsibilities of this position will be in one of the academic departments (Accounting & Finance, Decision Sciences, Management, or Marketing) and will align with the candidate’s expertise. Interest in teaching entrepreneurship and/or sustainable business would also be desirable. The position will also include a significant service responsibility as faculty director of the Business in Practice program (see details below).
The lecturer position is a nine-month contract position with an initial appointment term of three years, with possible renewal at the discretion of the College. An appointment for a lecturer position includes the full benefits package of the University for non-tenure-track faculty. Lecturers at UNH are represented by the AAUP through a collective bargaining agreement. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

As faculty director of the Business in Practice (BiP) program, the lecturer will receive three course releases and additional summer compensation for required summer activities during their term as faculty director; in the event of changes in the program or faculty director position, or non-renewal in that role, the lecturer would revert to the standard 1.0 FTE load of seven courses per academic year.
The Business in Practice (BiP) Faculty Director will provide general oversight of the BiP curriculum, as well as mentorship for BiP instructors. The faculty director will ensure BiP courses work in strategic conjunction with Paul College’s current academic curriculum to enhance and deepen the employable skill sets of Paul College students and complement the curricula of the business major options. In addition, the faculty director will work closely with business professionals to design and develop courses from proposal/ideation through to the complete course cycle.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a relevant advanced degree (MBA, MEd, DBA, Ph.D.), demonstrated success in teaching at the college level, supervisory experience, as well as experience in working with business professionals. Applicants should be able to demonstrate the ability to meet the appropriate faculty qualifications based on AACSB accreditation standards. The University of New Hampshire is unable to sponsor applicants for employment visas for this position.
