Job Overview
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.
The postdoctoral candidate will choose to work under the mentorship of one of over 20 preceptors. Possible areas of research include the role of receptor tyrosine kinases in driving hormonally related malignancies (Susan Waltz), role of autophagy in promoting development of cancer (Maria Czyzyk-Krzeska and Jun-Lin Guan), targeting oncogenic metabolism and signaling in cancer (David Plas, Atsuo Sasaki, Tom Cunningham), immune surveillance and immunotherapy targets (Laura Conforti and Susan Waltz), Notch signaling (Rhett Kovall), TGF beta family signaling (Tom Thompson) and integrating mass spectrometry-based technologies (e.g., proteomics, metabolomics) to understand biological systems (Ken Greis).

Required Education
PhD, MD, MD/PhD degree - must have degree by date of hire.
