We are currently seeking candidates to teach in the Hutton School of Business. Under the direction of the Chair of the Hutton School of Business and the Director of UC Online, this position is responsible for teaching undergraduate business courses in finance and economics.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for teaching introductory and advanced level business courses which could include but is not limited to:
- BADM 136 Microeconomics
- BADM 137 Macroeconomics
- BADM 335 Financial Management
- BADM 336 Money, Banking, and Credit
- BADM 337 Investments
- BADM 338 Managerial Economics
- BADM 401 Personal Finance
- BADM 452 Advanced Financial Management
- BADM 454 Advanced Spreadsheet Analysis (Must have Microsoft Excel Certification to teach this course)
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Hutton School of Business and throughout the university.
- Adapt and align course materials using departmental syllabus templates, required text(s), and other resources.
- Provide regular and timely feedback on student work.
- Maintain regular communication with students through virtual office hours and e-mail.
- Maintain clear, consistent records in iLearn (Blackboard) and UC One (Banner).
- Participate in department-wide assessments.
- Respond to student evaluations.
- Follow university policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters in Economics or Finance.
- Student-focused teaching that addresses the needs of all learners, both traditional and nontraditional.
- Ongoing professional development.
- Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of and interest in diverse cultures and populations.
- If applying to teach online: Experience teaching business courses online.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD in Economics or Finance.
- Industry Certifications relevant to economics or finance.
- If applying to teach online: Experience in developing online courses in business.
- Experience with a variety of pedagogical and technological educational delivery methods.
