The University of California, San Diego, Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery (https://plasticsurgery.ucsd.edu/index.html) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and seeks to recruit academic plastic surgeons with an interest in complex reconstructive plastic surgery.
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high quality training and teaching to medical students, residents and fellows, the clinical care of patients and/or research.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience.

Appointments may require candidates to be self-funded.
As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware that there are limitations on outside professional activities and clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Candidate must have a MD or equivalent and be Board certified or Board eligible in Plastic Surgery.
Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
Candidates must have completed fellowship training in pediatric plastic surgery, aesthetic surgery, transgender surgery, or an equivalent fellowship training program, at the appointment start date.
Candidates with a track record of publications are preferred.
