Summary:
Under the oversight of the Program Manager, Strategic Partnerships the Contracting Administrator is responsible for a variety of duties associated with the processing, implementation, and maintenance of managed care contracts. Maintaining contract records, pertinent data tables, contract rates and terms. Responsible for plan setups and ongoing plan maintenance in practice management software system. Assists Program Manager with internal and external inquires, payer issues and payer education.
 
 
PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify, secure, and process Single Case Agreements with non-contracted customers in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify, secure, and process Claim Settlements with non-contracted customers in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process payer contract amendments as needed.
  • Ensure internal customers are appropriately informed of key contract and payer data elements in various manners, including but not limited to department SharePoint, payer matrix, communications, and meetings.
  • Utilize tracking tools to ensure timely resolution of pending payer agreements, related tasks, and pertinent data.
  • Maintain contract rates and terms.
  • Review contract files for accuracy and ensure files are stored in an organized manner.
  • Review and process plan setups and plan updates in practice management software system in coordination with internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Assist with escalated payer issues/inquiries and resolution as needed in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with payer education as needed with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with developing department standard operating procedures and guides.
  • Additional tasks as needed to support team
 
 
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration or High School Diploma with equivalent relevant experience
 
 
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in managed care, provider relations, contracting or related field.
