Summary

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the LAnguage Understanding and generatioN researCH (LAUNCH) group at the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Computer Science and Engineering, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. 

Under the supervision of Dr. Lu Wang, the postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of natural language processing related research topics including (but not limited to): narrative understanding, natural language generation, and AI alignment.

Responsibilities*

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will be expected to perform basic and applied research, organize and publish the results obtained, provide technical guidance on projects for both graduate and undergraduate students, and assist in writing new research proposals.

Required Qualifications*

The candidate will have received (or should anticipate receiving by the date of hire) a doctoral degree in computer science or related fields, has a demonstrated interest in natural language processing and possesses valid work authorization status.

Additional Information

The initial appointment is for one year.  

Renewal of the appointment in subsequent years is contingent upon excellent performance, the availability of funds, and maintaining valid work authorization status.
